Jake 2.0

Ten minutes and I already love this. The fact that Jake looks exactly like the last guy I fell hard for might possibly have something to do with that. He's so adorably geeky. :)

EDIT: Jesus, this might possibly be my new personal crack. And it's not because it's that good, although it is definitely worth catching. But the guy looks exactly like Scott, and to be honest, if Scott walked in the door right now, I'd probably pounce on him and shag him like a friends list.

Yes, I'm strange. But dude ... *user gestures wildly in the general direction of superpowered Scott-lookalike*

Yeah, I liked it too. It was kind of like a cross between the Invisible Man and La Femme Nikita. And don't ask me how I came up with that, because I don't know.

Liked his hair, of all things.

What *is* Jake 2.0?

Jake 2.0 was on UPN last night at 9 PM. It's a show about a geeky but sweet guy who works as tech support for the NSA but wants to be an agent. One day, while he and another guy are working on a computer in one of the labs, the scientist in charge (who was stealing secrets) starts shooting up the place, and during the shootout, Jake is injured and some weird stuff oozes into the wound.

It turns out that the weird stuff is actually nanite technology that binds itself to Jake's system, giving him superpowers (enhanced hearing, strength, speed, and telepathic communication with machines). Yeah, you have to suspend your belief a little, but it's definitely a lot of fun to watch, and the guy who plays Jake is too adorably dorky for words. (He's got a really nice Peter Parker vibe going on.)
