May. 3rd, 2006 08:56 pmYAY Ray and Yolanda! They're the only team today who didn't piss me off on some fundamental level and it's great that they won this leg. Karma's a bitch, people, but not if it likes you.
Joseph and Monica would be fine if they wouldn't stop breaking down and bitching at one another when things get rough. Joseph especially is just annoyingly awful and childish when Monica breaks down. I mean, yeah, she gets a little whiny, but it's nothing that won't go away if you just listen and give her a moment to recover. Instead, he's got to tell her to stop crying the way he does, which always comes out so mean.
BJ and Tyler are pissing me off. I'm willing to excuse the ridiculous "quirky" stuff they do if they spend the rest of the time being generally good people, but no matter if Eric's hitting on Monica or not (I can't believe I was even able to type "or not" with a straight face), that incredibly unsubtle bullshit needs to stop.
Eric and Jeremy actually weren't quite as horrible as normal tonight, although they're normally so horrible this was honestly just a less horrible, if that's even understandable. They're still complete pigs -- dudes, Yolanda and Monica have boyfriends, knock it off -- but the taxi thing was funny (I was wondering why Jeremy gave the taxi company the wrong name ... *snickers*) and the fact that they lucked out and MoJo got the blame was kind of awesome. If they weren't the most vile men on the planet, I'd probably respect the hell out of that kind of trickery. (Although, Eric? If you don't want those photos on the Internet to be taken for anything more than they look like -- or more aptly, for exactly what they look like -- maybe comments like "I never let Jeremy out of the house" should be kept to a minimum, especially when you continue to overcompensate with every woman who crosses your path like WHOA.)
Next week: Monkeys hate the Fratards. Well, who doesn't?
EDIT: Also, I find it a special sort of hilarious that BJ now has no shoes.

Oh, that made me cackle out loud. *g*

Yeahhh... I sort of wish they'd had to the river thing with no shoes.

Date: 2006-05-04 04:19 am (UTC)I felt exactly the same way. Everyone else behaved like badly-raised 12-year-olds; Ray and Yolanda were cool and it paid off.
Eric and Jeremy's only saving grace is that they recognize that karma bit them in the butt. Joseph needs to lay off his girlfriend, who is going to get bitchslapped if the words "It's not fair," come ut of her mouth again. Raaaace.
BJ and Tyler can just drop off a cliff. Although I am also deeply amused at BJ's lack of shoes. If he'd bothered to put them on, he probably would have beat Monica to the mat. Reap what you so, moron.

Date: 2006-05-04 04:28 am (UTC)BJ and Tyler have pissed me off the last couple of episodes because they seem so damn intent in making it look like they're doing nothing wrong when they're doing stuff like threatening people with Yields for not giving them money and hinting to Joseph that Eric's moving in on Monica. Like, "It's okay if we manipulate you if we're quirky."
At this point, I'm pinning my hopes on Ray and Yolanda. They had their pissy moments already and even their pissy moments weren't half as bad as everybody else's. And I adore the pants off of Yolanda. "Black people aren't crazy enough to go into a pond full of crocodiles ... OR ARE THEY?" *snickers* They're loads funnier than BJ and Tyler ever are.

Date: 2006-05-04 04:40 am (UTC)It was adorable. I kept giggling right along with her, and being disappointed when Monica didn't have any fun with it. Those two are just fun because they're going with it -- the humor the Race, everything -- instead of forcing everything all the time. Ray takes it all more seriously than Yolanda, but he's still more laid back than any number of macho male Racers I can think of.
And you're right, the hypocrisy is one of the many sucky thing about the Hippies -- BJ stood right there on the mat and was all "We didn't play any head games," and I wanted to slap him. :P
