Yankees/Marlins?! Where's the fun in that World Series? No long-time rivalries, no fire and brimstone, no "Back to the Future" prophecies fulfilled ...

All you get out of that World Series is baseball. Meh.

Hey, maybe they could have Infestation Night and fans could fling locusts at the players when the game gets too boring. That'd be worth watching. And possibly playing along with at home in a Rocky Horror-esque fashion.

Eh, on second thought, you scrape bug guts off your TV screen. I'll pass.

Just think of the bright side (and there is one, even to THIS Cubs/Red Sox fan). Rupert Murdoch has been saying "FUCK!" so loudly even I can hear him in Okie-Dokie.

Damn baseball! This is definitely going to be a rotten series for me. I can't root for the Yankees, because I hate them so very, very much, but if I root for the Marlins, I'm a traitor to my Illinois-ness (despite the fact I'm a Cardinals fan through and through).

*snickers* What an interesting idea--baseball. Just baseball. Who the hell wants that? I was so looking forward to the End of the World Series, Cubs and Red Sox!

And I'm half-convinced both series went to seven games in order to recoup the loss of fans in the World Series. I don't know how they'd fix that, but it makes sense somehow...
