I got the loan for the new car. It's five hundred less than the car is going to cost me. I have pretty much no extra money in my bank account not already going towards bills.

can't you talk to the seller and show them the loan document and get them to lower it 500? I mean, really. They make a ton of money off cars anyhow, why not do that for you?

Any chance the dealership (I'm assuming you're going through a dealership,) will either lower the price of the car or give you a loan for the $500? Can you call the loan company and ask for more money?

(kidding about buying the kidney but I really do have a friend who's on dialysis and hopefully getting on the transplant list in January)

And ouch on the $500! ditto the comment about talking to the dealership, they'll want to sell the car and usually you can get them to come down. Just hard-nose'em, tell'em that's all the money you got and there ain't no more and they can take it or leave it.
