apocalypsos: (freakin' adorable)

EIGHT DAYS?! What, is that eight million dollars magical? Does it come with happy little woodland sprites who are all too happy to wave their magic wands and make an entire building appear? I would suspend disbelief about the sudden appearance of the clinic if Izzie hadn't spent the entire episode acting like a ginormous tool. Perhaps McSteamy's tolerability this week and Alex's rapid movement away from dickishness are due to some sort of shedding of a layer of skin that is attaching itself to Izzie like leeches. That's the only explanation I can think of for her bitchy treatment of Callie.

Seriously, I DO NOT GET IT. Why is it that the women in this hospital feel the need to treat Callie like the devil incarnate while McSteamy, who is universally acknowledged to be a festering dicksmack, gets off relatively scot-free considering his level of idiocy? Don't move in, Callie! The next thing you know, you'll wake up in a full nelson with Izzie pressing your face into the floor while Nurse Olivia comes at you with a camera and a pair of clippers.

I just ... GRRRR. What bothers me most about these women and how they treat Callie is that it reflects badly on how they think of George. Izzie can be his best friend and be there for him when his dad dies and support him at every turn, but the fact that she seems incapable of showing the least bit of common respect and decency to his wife is ridiculous.

And I'm not including Meredith in that, because she was nice to George and her comments about it being a good- or Meredith-level thing seemed more about the marriage than they were about Callie. And I'm not including Christina because I highly doubt Christina gives a damn. And I'm barely including Nurse Olivia because it's not like she said that shit to Callie's face.

So, just Izzie then. Damn it.

What the hell happened to the Izzie I liked, man? *headdesk*

Speaking of people I used to like and now can barely stand, I would have been squealing happily about the Burke and Christina engagement and thinking that they were adorable last season. Now all I can feel is vague queasiness.

On the other hand, Ellen Pompeo did an amazing job this episode. I've never been much of a Meredith fan (well, unless she's stoned), but dealing with that woman explains a LOT. Is it bad that I'm grateful she's all Alzheimered up again? She's troublesome when she's sick, but when she's lucid she's a stone bitch.

Addison sleeping with Mark ... oh. Not that I blame her, and I'm not mad or anything because as somebody pointed out on the TWoP boards (yes, I went to the TWoP boards ... kill me) at least if she's having sex with Mark she's having ethical inappropriate sex rather than the unethical inappropriate sex she'd be having with Alex. (Which I really, REALLY want her to have eventually. Don't get me wrong.) I'm not sure why, but I feel sorry for Mark, though. I mean, he's a dicksmack (my new favorite word ... yay!). He fucks over everybody. He deserves to get a taste of his own medicine eventually. And yet, with the pulling her out of the OR, and the petting of her hair when she was having oxygen later, and seeming to give more of a shit about her going into the OR than her own ex-husband did, I do feel a wee bit sorry for him. He's awfully touchy about her for someone whose cock is apparently a universal cure-all.

Wow, I didn't expect to talk that much. Or should I say, bitch that much? Heh. :)
