Gosh - I don't know you at all, I only read your stories and such, but it might be time to move away from where you're at. I know you have family there but if you can't support yourself comfortably then it's just not going to get any easier - it sounds like the job market there is beyond awful.
I only tend to lurk in your journal and pop out occasionally to give random unsolicitated advice, like on your car =) The cash advance thing was long coming but handled very poorly imo. The government was trying to do something positive and instead just messed things up more.
