There is a man running the Steamtown Marathon in a pink T-shirt, bright pink running shoes, and a pink tutu.

Well, I don't know who's going to come in first in the race, but I definitely know who's winning Best Dressed. :)

(Is it wrong that it made me feel relieved to see people wearing headphones and iPods? Like, "Oh, thank God, I was afraid they didn't get to listen to music while they ran." Which is silly, because that should only matter if I'm running, which I can assure you I am not. You know, unless chased by something large and hungry.)

When I did the Disney marathon, there was a guy running as Jack Sparrow. Not just the costume, but the hand gestures, the windy walk, everything. It was awesome.

Most marathons will send you a notice that headphones aren't allowed the course (because you couldn't hear emergency vehicles or race officials), but I've never seen them enforce the rule.
