Jan. 12th, 2008 05:13 pmSo I went with my gut and saw National Treasure 2, and had a great time. (With the exception of the couple in front of me who brought a passel of children and refused to take their occasionally shrieking youngest kid out into the lobby during his screaming 'fests. Urgh.) These are the only movies I like Nicolas Cage in, I swear. And, Riley! Heh. I love Riley.
I still want to see Juno and Atonement and all the rest, but I was just really in the mood for a total popcorn movie. And it did make me think that I'm probably going to make the effort to go see Cloverfield, which -- my feelings about JJ Abrams aside -- is growing on me. Reading Harry Knowles' review was encouraging, not so much for his opinion as for his description of the format of the movie.

I am currently in possession of my great-aunt's shiny new laptop. She has no idea what to do with it -- like, none at all, not even a little bit -- so I'm going to look it over, get rid of the excess crap she doesn't need, keep the stuff she does, add some things she'll need and doesn't have, and generally have a lot of fun setting up a shiny new computer, even if it isn't mine. WHEEEE. :) (It'll be a lot more fun when I'm setting up Jess's new laptop for her when she gets it, because she'll actually have Internet access so I can do things like set up bookmarks and put on games and make her an LJ she'll probably never use. \o/)
I am also loving that Fly pen. I added music to it and charged it up, and got a good two pages or so of story notes written up at Panera.

Eight Celebrities You Didn't Know Were Geeks
I never thought I'd say this, but oh, man, Dolph Lundgren is awesome.
EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot. Does anybody have the link to that really pastel-laden website to all the incredibly adorable games with all the cute animals and things? I lost the link to it, I can't remember the name of it, and I want to play the game with the monkeys on the vines. (Yes, this is one of the vitally important things that's been plaguing my existence lately. Sheesh.)
