See, now I'm curious.
Feb. 18th, 2008 06:30 pmOh, good Lord, how long have I spent mainlining candy and watching Never Mind The Buzzcocks?
DON'T TELL ME. OH, MAN.
*whimpers*

I've been wondering lately how many people in fandom (hell, any fandom -- a lot of the ones that I'm in, the fans are having serious problems with them of late) have actually sat down and written letters or emails to networks or shows or creators or sponsors or whatever. I mean, I know stars get tons of letters, and the instant a cult TV show gets canceled the networks gets bombarded with whatever fannish snack food the legions of those affronted by its sudden disappearance from their schedules decide is fitting. But seriously, for all of the complaints about current storylines, how many people are honestly contacting people who can DO something about it anymore? Or hell, even praise for when they do something right?
Don't mind me. I'm just reminded because God knows every time they show Luke and Noah being affectionate but choosing to skip the kissing and, like, bake cupcakes or something, I'm on CBS's website to complain or writing Proctor and Gamble a long-winded letter about what dicksmacks they're all being. Hell, I have to vent about it somehow, and at least that way there's the slimmest of chances that the writers might notice the bad attention and reevaluate, you know? (Yes, I know, horribly optimistic.)
