If she is, she's either going to die soon or is going to spend most of her time being the "grey" you were talking about, only with Lilth. If Lilith wanted Sam dead, and before stealing the Colt, Bela was closer to them than after, wouldn't this episode have happened earlier or Bela try to kill Sam for Lilith and perhaps the kid's soul before now?...unless, we still don't know who's got the marker for Dean's soul though. Sandy!demon never said... if Lilith and the demon that's controlling the crossroads demon are the same, she could also have a marker on the soul of the someone Bela lost.

Also, it kind of sets up Sam having to bargain for Dean's soul at the end of all this. They haven't really introduced anyone that the guys have to deal with to save Dean yet.

I don't think that Bela is working for Lilith. I think this is the writers setting the plot for a Bela sob story - see Red Sky. I think she wants to use the colt to kill some member of her family who is possessed or something like that. That's why the whole "You don't know anything about me." I bet that in the four eps to come, we will see the boys catch up with Bela and they will of course help her solve her sob story trouble, turning all softy on her only for her to make fools of them in the end again. Because Bela is "awesome" *snort* and the Winchesters will never learn *shakes head*
