... why can't I come up with novel ideas as easily as I can come up with silly J2 crackfic ideas? I think I squeezed out one last night I can work with after The Grand Prize Winner is over. THINK.

I think it may just be because I'm just diverting all of my energies towards trying to pound out the rest of that novel and my brain is all, "NOOOO! This first, this first!" *sigh*

Because the novels are more serious and crackfic is like blowing off steam? A novel requires a much better premise and plot. Plus, original fic is harder because you're starting from scratch. There are no premade characters or plot hooks out there for you to use.

I keep coming up with story ideas; but they keep trying to turn into porn.
