Yeah ... he's got his really painful moments. Not to mention that "queens" comment a while back, which I didn't get the impression was meant in any good way whatsoever.
It says a lot about the designers this season that he can't stop saying shit like that occasionally and my main reaction seems to be, "*sigh* Well, it could be worse. He could be that aggravating all the time."
