YAY CARLA!

I hope Stefan and Hosea bicker and snipe so much she plows right over them.

It's okay. Winning is the booby prize. Now Fabio can go on to his next career as the star of his own cooking show: Bullsheet Egg.

*snickers*

That cooking show will only work if part of it involves Fabio and Stefan moving into the same apartment together and sharing bunky beds.

Why couldn't Fabio stayed and Stefan gone he's just way to cocky.

Oh, that would have been so nice. Stefan's definitely a good enough chef to win but for crying out loud, his freaking attitude.

I want to stick his head in the oven half the time and the other half the water pot but I guess a lot of chefs are like that. Not all mind you but a lot.

I want a Fabio to keep in my kitchen he'll cook pasta and talk nonsense to me all day long. And I was never too fond of Jeff, but he made me a little proud tonight. It's lovely when contestants absorb criticism, do exactly what the judges have been telling them all along, and then do really really well. This was the highest praise he's ever gotten on a dish.

I adore Fabio. I'm so sad we lost him. I would rather have lost Stefan or Hosea. Stefan really is a bit too smug, even if he has earned it at this point, and I'm hoping Carla pulls it out mostly because I'd love for the winner to have been a shock for once, and a happy shock at that.

And I was thrilled that Jeff finally managed to wrangle the creative monkeys. I think seeing himself on the show may have been enough for him to figure out that making half a dozen small items doesn't mean much when you could focus your attentions on making one or two things really great. I'm almost sad he didn't go to the finale, even though I still think he doesn't deserve to be there against the others and that Jamie should have come back instead.

gah. I haven't watched it yet (canadian), but Fabio? really?

sigh. I was so hoping Hosea would go. Carla's awesome, Fabio's too cool, and although I know people have issues with Stefan ... to be honest? He's pretty well a lot of chefs I've met who are european or british. They put up this face, they talk a good game, but they're not bastards.

Hosea's too fixated on Stefan and too bitter for my tastes.

My only issue with Stefan is his attitude, which, I mean, he's earned it without question, but ... okay, it's like last night. He can brag all he wants and I don't mind, but it's like he's so sure he's going to win that he's not even taking it seriously. He's definitely not a bastard, but he's starting to treat the whole thing a bit like a joke and it's bothersome to see when you've got, like, Fabio needing money for his sick mom and Hosea with his sick dad presumably needing money as well.

Having said that, Hosea needs to shut the hell up and COOK. I will be happy if Stefan wins because he's earned it, I will be thrilled if Carla wins because she's a warm person and a wonderful chef, but I'll only be okay if Hosea wins. Both Stefan and Carla have done far better over the course of the show than Hosea -- Carla's actually won one more challenge than he has -- and neither one of them is as freaking worried about another contestant as Hosea is. They're both worried about their own damn performances.

Ahh. Ok, if he's showing sloppiness/not taking it seriously, then that I disagree with and think he should shut up. It was more his earlier stuff of 'oh of course I'll do fine, I"m really good' stuff that came across as the european chef bravado to me and less him being a bastard personally. Mainly because for the most part it came hand in hand with proper execution (the only standout being the fish overcook, and fish is one of those so easy to just go a step too far and I cuold see it happening while trying to keep it warm/ready on that type of shoot). Sloppiness? then you lose my good faith on that.

(again, haven't seen last nights so I may be like 'shut UP Stefan by the end since you're mentioning last night.)

And totally agreed on the Hosea thing. He's fixated not on the food, not on being the best chef he can be, but on 'beating the euros', particularly Stefan. and yeah. that's not what it's about.

There's a point where Stefan's being sort of jokey and loud and running out for smokes, and the others are working hard and are like, "... bwuh?" It gets to the point where Chef Tom notices and brings it up at JT, which ... ouch.

Ahh yeah. That would have annoyed me, agreed. When it's all talk and otherwise you act proper (ie. good execution) then it's one thing. when your actions start to match ... then that's a bit much. So yes, I will when I watch it (thank you youtube) I likely will be saying shut up stefan. heh.

That does make me want Carla to win, completely. Good personality and good execution. Stefan over Hosea if it came down to them though, any day.

Maybe I just like european bastards. Quite probable.

How can you not adore someone who says he got his ass kicked so hard he was crapping shoes? :D Yeah, I'm really pulling for Carla at this point. She's talented, sweet, and she has fun with it. I can't ask for anything more in a reality show contestant. Provided he gets his head out of you know where, Stefan'll probably take this and I really wouldn't mind, if not for how much I love Carla. Hosea bores me. He seems like a decent enough guy. There just doesn't seem to be anything compelling about him, and that's putting aside the constant self-comparison to Stefan and that big giant non-event with Leah. Geez, you kissed and you're both attached to other people. WHAT A WORLD.

I definitely hoped that Jamie would make it through the quickfire as well. Ach, imagine if the final three had been Carla, Jamie, and Fabio. There's too much love on that platter for me.
