At random ....
Jul. 31st, 2007 04:34 pm-- Where the hell is my laptop?! Oh, man, waaaaaaant. Mostly because my desktop has suddenly gotten a virus or something and is now running at roughly the speed of mayonnaise.
--
apocalyptothon stories are going up! Woo! Go read!
-- I really don't have anything to say about the
daily_deviant wank that hasn't already been said much more eloquently by others, but I can say that the mods have clearly achieved an epic case of FAIL. The kind George Lucas would film brilliantly, and then turn around and re-edit twenty years later with questionable special effects, and then turn around ten years later and release forty-seven different ways on DVD, and then turn around and charge you an arm and a leg for each version. It's that level of epic FAIL. Seriously, there should be Ewoks or something.
-- I've been letting my mind wander at work and the story ideas are popping up like crazy. So, you know, YAY.
-- This is the conversation I had with my mother when she called yesterday ...
Mom: "Why is your fan not in your window?"
Me: "Because I had to work last night and I don't like leaving a running window fan in an open window that usually gets by rain when I'm not sure if it's going to storm?"
Mom: "Oh, because there was a lady from the zoo at the park with a bunch of different animals and she had a chinchilla, and she said that they have to be kept cool because they're practically wearing little fur coats --"
Me: "And you think I don't know this?"
Mom: "Well, yes, but -- "
Me: "And, what? You don't think that I learned my fucking lesson?"
Mom: "... um, yes.."
Me: "Okay, then." *hangs up*
Sheesh.
I also stopped up the house this morning to pick up cat food and was half-asleep so I forget to tell her happy birthday. Uh, oops? *goes to find cell phone*
