Remind me to double-check before I read anything linked off IMDb from now on, because yesterday I spotted a link for "10 Hollywood Cliches That Have To Go!" or whatever, so I clicked on it and it was on goddamn Breitbart, which, okay, whatever, it's not a political subject, right? Except the list, which wasn't that bad at its essence, was really just an excuse for the writer to yell and screech at pinko Hollywood commie liberals because Christians are perfect and wonderful and never mean and soldiers are never affected by war and priests aren't always pedophiles and how could you?! I made the mistake of reading through the comments and got to read a lovely long comment about how the priests the church punished weren't pedophiles, they were gay because they only touched boys. Because when you like to touch children, and the victims you have the easiest access to are boys, THAT'S the part that matters.

And I don't know why it's clinging in my head, but it is and I woke up a couple of times last night fucking livid and I had no idea why, and then I did, and ... UGH.

Somebody tell me or show me something not rage-inducing. Goddamn it.

-- Well, I figured out why I might have been rageful all damn night over ignorant Internet comments. Stupid ladyparts. *grumbles*

-- I didn't watch the Grammys. I'm not really a big live performance sort of person and I'm not a big enough music fan to enjoy it. I am happy for Jennifer Hudson, though, because she totally deserves something good in her life after everything horrible that's happened in the past few months. And I'm really impressed at M.I.A. performing on the day she was due to give birth. Damn, woman.

-- Is it really bad that I wish I'd just get permanently laid off already? It's that I don't want a secure job, or that I like looking for a job in a shitty economy, but I'm so sick and tired of dangling by a thread. It's ludicrous.

-- Also, I'm thinking of putting aside one of the chapters that's really bothering me in GPW and letting myself rewrite it. It's bugging me enough to make it worth my while, the way I figure it. And I'll just be happy to get one of the other chapters done today, although if I could get both that'd be swell.

-- It's supposed to be fifty degrees and rainy here on Wednesday, and not all that cold really for the entire week. Dear Britain, please send us your snow. I don't see any significant amounts in our ten-day forecast, we can totally handle it, and we really haven't had a really impressive snowstorm yet this winter. Also, I still have three personal days left to play with.

-- I've run out of nail polish again. I have a bad habit of painting my nails and then picking off the polish, and I'd stop but it keeps me from biting them and I'd rather they be long.

-- Speaking of long things, my hair is reaching the point where it's too long to just leave the way it is and too short to curl or straighten. And it curls on the ends, but not all of the ends, and not in neat cutesy curls, and not all in the same direction. Stupid moptop.

Yuck.

I'm seriously debating whether to call off of work for tonight on a personal day.

And not to slack off, honestly. I felt okay in the morning -- a few stomach cramps but nothing I couldn't weather -- but as the day's worn on I've started getting nauseated, I'm so sore I can barely move, and I think I'm starting to run a bit of a fever. (No way to check without a thermometer or anything, but I think I feel warmer than normal.) I should be fine by tomorrow but I'll be dragging through the night if I try this.

Urgh, I don't want to throw one away when I can count the number of days I've worked so far this year on one hand. Then again, at the rate we're going, I might as well use one while I still have a job. *sigh*

*goes to find cell phone*

EDIT: Done! It's nice to get my boss's boss on the phone. I like her. :)

Also, HA! It turns out Jess took a personal day too. Oh, God, they're going to think we skipped to go to the bar. *headsmack*

... I adore Obama's giddiness at getting his first question from Helen Thomas. Awww.

Heh.

From AfterElton, HOYAY! "Supernatural": Coded gays, slashfic bait and Wincest, oh my!

Spoilers up to the last episode. There's some really interesting observations of the gay references lately.

Heroes tonight is kind of awesome, although that could be mostly because of Shiny New Scary Hotness, if you know what I mean, and I think you do.
