My parents are coming home from Ocean City in a few hours. Partly to save my brother from getting yelled at for being a slob and partly to save myself from having to hear about what a slob he is later on, I drove up to the house at one, straightened up, started the dishwasher, prodded Bryan until he took out the cat litter and the garbage, and even cleaned his room for the most part so my mom couldn't harp on that, either.

The only thing I didn't do was vacuum, but I figure my mom isn't going to knock either one of us for that, at least. I even told Bryan to tell her that I know it needs to be done but I left it to her because ... well, I hate vacuuming, and if she doesn't know that about me by now we clearly don't talk enough. (I'd rather clean litter than vacuum, honestly. My chore preferences are a little like this: wash dishes, clean out fridge, do laundry, clean litter/chinchilla cage, wash bathroom, dust, wash windows, vacuum.)

And then I made him lunch, because apparently he hasn't cooked anything for himself since my parents left on Tuesday. He's been living off pizza and Chinese food, so I suppose I should just be amazed he ate at all. *eyeroll*

Meanwhile, MY apartment still needs cleaning. Um, oops.

In other news, I may have broken my writer's block. We'll see. I started in on the next chapter of Heroine Addiction and I got a little bit written, but it's a matter of seeing if it goes anywhere and I don't delete it out of annoyance by the end of the day.

I have Outlander from Netflix to watch later. I heard it was a cheesy good time, so we'll see how that turns out. The next few things on my queue are movies and then I put a ton of things I have to catch up on on the list -- Mad Men (I was going to watch it online, but I think I'd rather just watch it on DVD), Dead Like Me (still haven't seen the second season or the movie), Burn Notice, Psych, True Blood, and a bunch of British stuff I've seen in bits and pieces but haven't ever seen from start to finish. Getting Netflix again is pretty much my excuse to catch up on as many fandoms as possible. ;)

Okay, I should probably go ... do something.

Or something.

Um.

The squirrel approves. Hmph.

EDIT: I should add that no matter how big a loser I might be for going to bed at 10 on a weekend, my brother turned his 32-inch flatscreen TV into a computer monitor because the only thing he cares about is playing WoW so, really, I win.
