At random this morning ...
Oct. 5th, 2010 07:25 am-- I have signed up for NaNo this year. Currently, the idea I'm planning on working on is still the same one, ye of the incredibly serious subject matter. Because apparently my jokey-brain is on the fritz.
-- So the new chinchilla's name is Ramona, after Ramona Flowers, because I made that crack about Michael Cera movies and now what is unseen cannot be unseen, or whatever.
-- So they're having a flashback episode on Glee and they're looking for younger versions of the actors. They've already cast wee!Kurt. And whoever this casting director is, she deserves the biggest raise EVER.
-- And apparently, according to AfterElton, the "family values" types are already poking their miserable heads out of the woodwork to claim that the nine children, teens and young people who've died this year from anti-gay bullying actually died from unhealthy lifestyles and the pain of being gay or whatever. I've said it before and I'll say it again -- it takes ENORMOUS stones to tell people not to act a certain way because their life will be miserable when YOU'RE the one who plans to make them miserable.
-- This week at work it's Customer Service Week (I believe it's a national thing, but whatever) so we've been doing a "spirit week" sort of thing. Today is Hero Day, in which you dress up as your hero. I'm going to wear jeans, slippers, one of my shirts with some sort of Writer joke on it, and my Siamese cat hat (if I can find it), as my hero is "any published writer who can make enough money to quit their day job, stay home all day in their most comfortable clothes and write." Hey, THEY asked. ;)
EDIT: Also, I have seen the picture of Misha with his gorgeous new baby -- and congrats to him and his wife -- but every time I stare at that picture I massively ovulate. "AWWWW, Misha-spawn! *ovaries go off like Mt. St. Helens* GODDAMN IT."
