I really have to change my default icon.
Jan. 3rd, 2011 09:38 amIn other news, my internet is back! Not sure why it was down all weekend long, but not really caring at the moment anyway. YAY INTERNET! \o/
There's still OT at work, and we're supposed to go in two extra hours today and tomorrow as mandatory OT. I was going to go in early, but then I remembered just how hellish the first couple of days of the year can be and decided I'd rather just stay late, since the phones die down after a certain point and that's preferable to being on the phone all damn day.
Oh, and I managed to get all industrious this weekend and narrow my prospective WIPs for this year down to eight separate projects. This is not including new stuff I may just come up with on the fly, or what I'll write for NaNo -- if I even try NaNo this year what with school and all -- or what I may just give up on and decide to put to the side again. In other words, it was the ultimate exercise in futility. Er ... go, me?
In other news, I start school in eighteen days! I want to go school-shopping in the WORST way. You know, like, old-school school-shopping, where I buy monstrous amounts of notebooks and pens and highlighters and a backpack and new clothes and shoes and snacky stuff. I keep having internal arguments with myself. "I WANT TO BUY A GRAPHING CALCULATOR!!!" "Uh, you don't need a graphing calculator. AND you've got a smartphone, so you don't need a calculator at all." "... A GRAPHING CALCULATOR AND A PROTRACTOR AND GUM ERASERS AND CLICKY PENCILS AND --" "*headdesk*"
Of course, to go school-shopping, I need money. So the people who are going to give me money shortly need to, you know, give me the damn money. *fidgets impatiently*
... can I go to school now? How about now? No? How about now?
I'm really getting excited. Can't you tell? :D
