apocalypsos: (i cannot believe you just said that)
Why did I just get a phone call from my congressman's office?

Well, okay, I *know* why I got a phone call, but I don't know WHY I got a phone call. If that even makes sense.

So a few days ago I spotted a news story on my Twitter feed regarding the News Corp./Murdoch BS which suggested that people contact their congressperson to see about starting an investigation into whether or not they had broken some law here which I can't recall at the moment (mostly because I'm still like, "Wait ... WHAT?"). There was a link to an article on the subject and a form letter you could send, as well as a link to Congress's website so you could send it to your specific congressperson. So I sent a copy to Tom Marino and forgot about it, up until I had a phone call from a phone number I didn't recognize just now and therefore let it go to voicemail. Then I checked the voicemail and it was a guy from Marino's office asking me to call him back about the email I sent regarding the News Corp/Murdoch BS.

But ... but they don't CALL you. They send you crappy form letters and you just shrug and grumble about how your congressperson never listens to you.

They're not supposed to CALL you, for Pete's sake.

... no, seriously, you guys, what the hell.
