He will never ever learn.

To be fair, wasn't Dollhouse not that good most of the time? I've only seen bits, so I can't say, but plenty of Whedon acolytes I know just plain didn't like this show.

And Whedonesque has been down for at least the last hour. Hmmm. I wonder if these things are connected?

Oh, wait, it's back.

It's not that good most of the time.

I like it, because it raises some fascinating philosophical questions, probes into the nature of morality, reality and self, and puts Eliza Dushku in hot outfits, but it is very, very flawed.

I know I didn't like it, but from what I've heard it got way better from where it started out. Eh, I didn't really like the concept anyway personally.

And it aggravates me more that Fox canceled Terminator supposedly so they could keep Dollhouse ... aaaaand then didn't keep Dollhouse.

Dollhouse was awful. T&A for the sake of smarmily deploring the exploitation of the premise, and a really disturbingly ablist episode (so I've heard) dealing with mental illness.

Big Firefly fan, but cheering that this was cancelled.

I tried to like it for those reasons, but frankly, it bored me after about 3-4 eps. I love Whedon, but I just couldn't get into Dollhouse.

That list they make in the article is like all of my lost childhood loves. Holy crap, sweet nostalgia.

I think this was the last bits of his contract. hopefully he'll find a less abusive studio.

he could team up with dean devlin's gang of merry men who do leverage, because they have an 'alternate funding stream' for the show as well as the protagonists.
