apocalypsos-- Yesterday at work they sorta sprung going on the phones early to those of us still in training and then sprng, "Oh, do you want overtime, too?" which I leapt at like a hungry panther. They offered to let us stay anytime from 4:30 when we normally leave to ten at night. I offered to stay the whole damn night.
First off, I only got two phone calls the entire night, screwed both of them up in different ways, had another woman accidentally hang up on me halfway through saying her name, and then sat there for five hours waiting for another phone call. At which point one of the managers was like, "Oh, you're still here? I thought all of the new people had left already. You can go home now, sweetie." That was at ten after nine. I wonder when I would have been told to go if I hadn't been in a cubicle in the Arctic Circle of the calling floor's geography.
-- I don't even know how the east coast can possibly be getting this HUGE snowstorm and we're only getting, like, two inches. We always get hit with snow during these stupid storms. I think my new snow tires are creating a karmic buffer area around the Northeastern Pennsylvania area.
-- Dude, that show runner is ... kind of a dick, really. Do they talk about all of their dissenters like that? It makes me want to hug John Rogers and Javi and Bryan Fuller and, fuck, even Kripke to my chest and never let them go.
-- So, yeah. Because I worked overtime last night, I didn't get a chance to finish editing Heroine Addiction like I expected, and it's certainly not going to get done today because today is "Get Wasted And Write A Yuletide Story" Day. (Trust me, I'll need the booze for this.)
