Oh, okay.

The highlights of my reactions:

1. You know how much fun it is to listen to Rachel piss and moan about "carrying" the glee club when that's what we've been complaining out for months?

2. Finn singing "Jesse's Girl" was fine (if you ignore that Jesse's not remotely his friend) until Puck got up to sing and fucking trounced him.

3. Oh, show, how nice of you to finally acknowledge where Quinn's living.

4. "I'm like Tinkerbell! I need applause to live!" That quote right there sums up everything there is about Rachel that I love, when she's not pissing me off like CRAZY.

5. "The Boy Is Mine" is like exhibit #1 of why I'd be perfectly happy if the show made Rachel transfer and let Santana and Mercedes fight it out for the female lead.

6. Puck and Santana are terrible, terrible people. And they know they're terrible people, and that's why I like them both SO MUCH. They fascinate the hell out of me. They're a perfect example of the adage that good characters don't have to be nice characters. God knows I love the mean characters.

7. This episode isn't half as bad as the shitty election commercials I have to watch because of it. Oh, goody, every commercial has Arlen Specter in it!

8. Kurt's dad is my favorite dad on TV. And you people know my hardcore love affair with John Winchester, okay? I LOVE KURT'S DAD.

9. I adore Brittany, but hey, you all knew that. :)

10. Okay, did that plotline with Finn's friend feel a bit skeevy to anyone else? It felt to me like they were using him as a prop to make Rachel feel better, which ... ugh.

I was a little skeeved, yeah. On the one hand, Finn IS the kind of guy who would keep visiting a buddy after something like that happened to them (I knew a girl who'd broken her neck in high school -- friend's sister, who I met years later -- and after it happened all her friends VANISHED, like paraplegia is fucking contagious or some shit). On the other, he was incidental to Rachel's storyline and I don't expect to see him again.

Kurt + Kurt's dad = ME WITH BIG SPARKLY HEARTS IN MY EYES.

Oh, yeah, I totally buy Finn being the kind of guy who'd keep visiting him. But then again, we've never heard of him before and we'll never see him again.

Yeah no, I completely agree. It's like "oh we gave the minorities actually personalities and most of the songs! Quick we need to offend someone else! Bring out the quadriplegic. We can still use them as tools for self esteem boosters for the real characters, right?"

The visit to Finn's friend made me uncomfortable. We did not need him as a prop for Rachel to learn a Very Special Lesson, since we are never going to see him again.

However, can we have Puck/Mercedes songs more often? And Santana! The Boy Is Mine and The Lady is a Tramp were the best parts of the episode.

The moment between Kurt and his Dad after the Roxie song had me in tears. Seriously.

I dunno. I didn't think they were gonna bring back Sue's sister but they managed that a couple of times.

Maybe they'll remember they have all these background characters. It'd be nice if they managed to acknowledge the current glee club, though. (Where my boy Mike at?)

Not necessarily... I remember people saying that about Sue's sister and Becky Jackson, but they've both shown up again.

Becky's still in the Cheerios, though, which requires she show up occasionally (Sue's certainly not going to kick her off, and Becky likes Sue and likes being on the Cheerios) and Sue's sister is the fallback they go to when Sue's being particularly harsh in an episode. I like both characters a lot, but they both seem to be Sue-is-not-entirely-bad characters.

I was completely skeeved by that. "LOOK AT THE INSPIRATIONAL HANDICAPPED PERSON!" Why the fuck did they even need to do that? If they wanted to go that route, then have Artie give her a verbal kick in the nuts for being self pitying. We don't need Random Paralyzed Person to Teach Us A Valuable Lesson. Especially as now that he's taught the lead his lesson, there's like an 80% we'll never, ever hear about him again.

Kurt's Dad is so much awesome though.
