Even if the Show, the series, had ended either there, or sans Sam, it was wonderful in an angtsy way. I mean there was such a deep sense of Dean being broken, of him now getting something he wanted - family - but that he was far from fine, as he sat there downing a giant scotch. And of course the worst possible thing is for them both to be alive but separate.
I am definitely thinking a time jump for next season - i mean we don't knwo how far in the future the last scene was meant to be, although obv Ben was still a kid. I would love a 5 year jump.
