I fail at being a responsible adult.

apocalypsos-- I meant to get up bright and early and go to work and do an extra three hours of overtime before work. Aaaaaaand then I forgot to set my alarm clock. And now that I'm awake, I want a real breakfast and five minutes to myself. Maybe I'll pack up and head up over to the gas station restaurant to sit for a while and play with my eReader.
-- Oh, did I mention that the cafe shut its doors last week? I saw that and my heart sank. I haven't been able to go for the longest time, and now I won't get to go anymore. It was such a charming little place, too. *pouts*
-- People are actively pissed about the newest SPN spoiler? Seriously? The writers might as well just produce their slashy werewolf mating AU at this point, honestly. (... what? I can dream.) Although I will say that that my general okay-ness with Gen has warmed into genuine liking for going along with the joke.
That said, still haven't caught up with the last two episodes. I am going to one of these days, I've sort of learned I can live without it without getting all frantic and weird and I'm cool with it.
-- My shiny new toy got shipped! And the shipping info says it could get here tomorrow! I'm all bouncy and happy because, hi, NEW SHINY. I think I'm going to name it Troy, and my external hard drive will be Abed, and the only downside to doing that will be attempting to avoid singing "TROY AND ABED IN THE MOOOOOORNING!" every time I connect them.
-- Speaking of school-related stuff, I took a chance and requested to take a floating holiday on my first day of school and it actually went through. So now I shall be able to stay home that day and bounce around happily and say, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"
I figured I might as well stay home that day, since between floating holidays and vacation hours this year I've got something like a hundred hours to play around with, and God knows I'll be completely impossible to deal with that day. Besides, I don't want my starting-school giddiness to be ruined by some stupid bint yelling st me on the phone.
Yeah, I may have decided to take that day off after having a hideous day on the phones yesterday. Ugh, and I'll probably have to spend today on the phones, too. Apparently when people get information from their insurance agencies before the new year, they throw it in a bonfire and then casually forget they ever got it, because there's no way in hell all of these people just didn't get their 2011 updates.
... uh, don't mind me. *grimaces*
-- So I'm trying to do what I was trying to do last year before the Oscars and see every movie that's nominated. Granted, I may need to see some of them through questionable means, but I'll get there, damn it. So far, the only movies that I've seen that I'm positive will get nominated for major awards are Inception and Despicable Me, so I've got a looooooong way to go.
