... when you realize about five seconds after submitting an assignment to your IT professor through Blackboard (which won't let you resubmit stuff) that you completed and submitted the wrong damn assignment.

I'm lucky my teacher is cool, that's all I've got to say. I'm just waiting on a response from him as to what to do.

Oh, and it'd be nice to have a speech class one day. Well, not really, but I didn't have either speech class this weekend because my teacher had the stomach flu all weekend. We've missed one class due to weather, one due to a meeting she'd already planned to cancel class for, and one due to there being a gas leak at her house.

So I get to make TWO speeches next weekender. Oh, yaaaaaay.

Hey, who wants to hear the saga of my tire?

So I get home the other day and take the tire to my local tire place, and they quote me thirty bucks if they can manage to save the rim. The next day when I go to pick it up and ask the guy what the damage is, he waves it away and says, "Eh, don't worry about it, your family does a lot of stuff through us." Which really didn't matter, since my brother was going to pay for it anyway, but still.

So I took it to my parents' house and let my dad put it back on the car, then drove to school. I got home last night and didn't go anywhere until I got up to go to school this morning bright and early. I stop to get gas, aaaaand that's when I notice the tire is low on air. I was hoping that maybe it just needed air the day before and I'd just been too dumb to notice, but no, when I tried to fill it up again, you could just hear the air hissing out from somewhere.

So now my donut is back on my car, and I get to take the tire back to the tire place. I'm pretty sure my brother's still going to pay for it willingly, although I think even if he weren't my parents would pressure the hell out of him to do it because they're pretty sure (and it's entirely possible they're right given his track record) that he was just complaining about dizziness and nausea to get out of work early.

Yeah, I may have made myself feel better by buying a nice cover for my ereader. I feel like I haven't read anything in ages and my netbook, while lovely, is too big to lug to work everyday just for reading books.

I am also rewatching Leverage episodes, because Leverage is my comfy happy place and lately I've been missing it like crazy.

Oh! The book thing!

So, right. Here's how it stands. I am still planning to self-publish The Monsters Of Moosic. It will happen just as soon as three things occur:

1. The cover is finished.
2. The last edit is finished.
3. The mystery option behind Door Number Three doesn't pan out.

If the mystery option behind Door Number Three DOES pan out ... er, I haven't let myself think about that possibility. Did you ever see a dog be so happy to see someone or do something that they wag their tail hard enough to make their entire body vibrate? I may grow a tail just to do that.

I really need to go over my outline for the ten books, honestly. I have to work on SOMETHING, anyway. I feel like I'm rusty when it comes to writing and it sucks.
