Wolfsbane from New Mutants. She has so much potential.

She ran away from home because her foster dad wanted to off her for being a werewolf. She was raised by Moira MacTaggert, who usually doesn't have good to-dos with kids. Then she goes to Xaiver's, makes friends, realizes it's ok to sprout fur if she wants to, saves the day many times, becomes a goverment agent, moves back home, kicks more ass....

And then sad stuff and she's in Marvel Limbo.
