So my parents got the kitten. And his name ... is Otis.

Well, hell, it's better than Noodles. *shudder*

EDIT: Just called home, and according to my dad, they named him after the drunk guy on "The Andy Griffith Show" (okay, whatever, but that's my dad for you), and because he looks like an Otis.

You know how Siamese cats are all sleek and skinny and long? Well, he's an applehead, and Dad said he's got a round head, a chubby little tummy, and short stumpy legs. So basically, he's shaped like a bulldog. (For a stubby little cat, he made an awfully screechy noise on the phone when my dad held him up to the receiver. Hee.)

He's supposed to email me kitten pictures soon, so when he does, I'll kill you all with cuteness and wield them accordingly.

The only thing that name conjures for me is Lex Luthor's dimwitted sidekick in the movie "Superman."

"It's amazing that tiny brain keeps those legs moving."

*snerk* Well, if my dad's description is to be trusted, they share the same body type, too. :)

...My first thought was, "They named him after the elevator??"

This doesn't discribe any siamese I've ever heard of!

This discribes [livejournal.com profile] shahhe to a T. She's 3/4 ragdoll and 1/4 persian. You may want to check on Otis parents -- I think something snuck in they weren't expecting.

We had a Siamese cat named Jade when I was young that looked just like a miniature mountain lion. Well, not so very miniature - he weighed at least 15 pounds. Some years after he died my parents got another Siamese - and named it Jade II.

Good thing they didn't have more children. *g*

Well, appleheads are kinda funky meezers. They're still Siamese, they're just ... er, rounder.

Milo and Otis!

If he looks like a bulldog, all the better!
