Sadly (and not surprisingly) you're right. I work for a newspaper and the AP story goes something like "Hundreds of thousands of protesters marched in New York. Meanwhile, Cheney talked about how cool he and Bush are. (Several paragraphs about the Republican convention and quotes about how cool Bush and Cheney are.) The crowd of protesters was estimated to be 100,000, with about 100 arrests. ..."
