For those of you who haven't already read this, some of the Republican delegates are demeaning Purple Hearts.

So let me see if I understand this. If I want the troops to come home and stay safe, I'm not supporting them, but if the Republicans make fun of an award given to those wounded in battle while trying to protect us, that's okay. (And I say it's okay because where the hell are the sane Republicans to step up and say, "Stop being on my side! You're making my side look bad!"?)

*grrr*

EDIT: Bush to veterans: 'We will win' terror war -- But ... but ... but didn't you say yesterday that we couldn't win the war on terror? WTF?!

That's appalling. And I can guaran-damn-tee you that the assholes wearing those mocking bandaids have never served in a war, which makes it all the more horrid. ::pauses to spit::

I saw this a few minutes ago on CNN, and thought it was just awful.

But..but...but today we have new information. Information that puts this war thing in a new perspective. Information that we now know to be true and factual; unlike previous information which may have misinformed us. But these new sources are to be believed at least until we get other new sources who say something different.

The truly ironic thing is that yesterday, I saw a guy with a bumper sticker listing all these reasons why he didn't vote Democrat, and one of them is "I support our military". Uh, yeah, right.

I adore your icon and wish to snog it senseless.

I had to turn off the convention. It was making me sick to my stomach. I really wish someone would slip some truth serum into the coffee urns just one day. Just one.

LOL - I'm from the UK, but on our news channel, they're afraid to say the R word just in case people start looking at Bush in a shifty way and accuse good ol' Tony of 'making the wrong call, ducky.'

When they showed a clip of the NY protest which has far more publicity on the net than tele, they skimmed past the banners so fast, it was a blur.

But funnily, the next news story was about Bush trying to ban therapeutic cloning and how Britain is one of the many cuontries who have just started touring with the Therapeutic Cloning Rocks! band.

Poor UN, poor UK and poor people who may benifit from this research. Bush is going to sit on this issue too! Aint he just teh besht!

Their logic is not earth logic

"[The Purple Heart bandaids are] not in any way defaming of [Purple Hearts], because I know people who have received Purple Hearts and I know that they're not boasting about their war record. They're proud of their serving their country. And, I mean, I just met a woman who lost her husband yesterday in Iraq. And there's a whole entirely different mood."

Cain, you senile old backstabber, for the love of god sit down and SHUT UP.

Wasn't he previously calling KERRY a flip flopper?

I love delicious irony.

How about a nice rousing chorus of "Kerry is Our King" next?
