The TroNoWriMo story title

[apocalypsos]

I had an idea for mixing the supernatural stuff and the fact that it's set in Northeastern Pennsylvania, using a play on Werewolves of London. You know, like:

Succubi of Scranton
Vampires of Vandling
Changelings of Carbondale
Monsters of Minooka

I don't know why, but I kind of like 'em. :)

I'd say something like the Banshees of Boise, but really, you can't beat the terror of straight-laced churchgoers in the 1950s when a lot of the city leaders were discovered to be participating in Big Gay Orgies. The whole thing was labeled the Boys of Boise. Can't get catchier than that.

As someone who's from Eastern PA, I must say I'm laughing my arse off over here. (Not currently *in* PA, but that makes no nevermind.) What about something for Aquashicola or Tamaqua? :-) Ooo! Too bad it's not actually in my hometown ("town" being a loose term, as it's actually a village) -- then it could be Zombies of Zionsville!

"Changelings of Carbondale" makes it sound like you're writing a quirky supernatural tale about southern Illinois, not Pennsylvania. I'm sure Pennsylvania has one too, but everybody will think of the bigger one. When I moved to college in Charleston, IL, everyone I knew thought I was headed to South Carolina.

I like "Succubi of Scranton" because it sounds a little like "suck on my scrotum." Hee hee.

Hee! Succubi of Scranton. If it were set a little farther south, I'd suggest Incubus of Intercourse, Werewolf of Warwick, Manticore of Manheim, Lamia of Lancaster, Lindwurm of Lititz, Nosferatu of Newburg... yeah, I'll stop now.
