Oct. 18th, 2004 09:52 pmYou know what's good? Not having to come home at 10 o'clock at night anymore.
So we've been waiting at work for this new supervisor to show up, and today she did. "Supervisor" is pretty much a lame description, because she was hired from UPS and doesn't know a damn thing about working at DHL. Anyway, to make a long story short, Bossman told me to train her for my job, because she was going to do nights from now on and he was going to move me to days.
The downsides:
-- I'm now going to have to get up at the buttcrack of dawn to go to work. *sigh*
-- Cashing my check is going to be a bitch from now on, so I'm just going to have to get direct deposit and get an ATM card. (Which I really should have done a long time ago, but I'm lazy.)
The upsides:
-- No more nightly bus rides.
-- I might actually be able to go to the movies after work sometimes.
-- Now that I'm finally getting a TV (omigodthankyouthankyousquealskeelsoverandDIES), I'm going to be home in time for prime time. Woohoo!
Also, I have about ten bucks to last me for the rest of the week. How I loathe BB&T right now. I'd get an account at another bank if it didn't mean long walks or bus rides to get there, especially now that they're switching me to 8-to-4. *seethes*
Oh, and I very nearly broke my iPod headphones. It's amazing they've survived this long in my care, isn't it? *eye roll*
