So, work.

So far, this is what I've established as the pros of being moved to the DHL station at Pentagon City.

There's a Starbucks, a Borders, a Best Buy, and the mall a block away. Everybody's really nice. Nobody's really telling me how to do a damn thing. They have a Red Bull vending machine, which I don't want to use but is just amusing to look at. The travel time in the morning is the same as it was beforehand. Basically, people are still leaving me alone. I have internet access all day long.

The cons look like this:

That room is a disaster area even after I got done with them compared to the orderly shelves I had at the last station, because everybody has everything in five thousand different places. After four o'clock, I'm supposed to just hand the room off to Bam! Superbitch! (which is what I'm calling this woman even though the only bitchy thing she's done to me so far is commandeer the office and make me move every day) and go find somewhere else to wander every day for an hour and a half until I can get a hold of Oh-Woe-Is-Me-Ooooo's computer when she leaves. Once I get a hold of Oh-Woe-Is-Me-Ooooo's computer, I also have to handle the front counter by myself, which was the Grouch's job at the other station so I barely have any experience doing it. I then have from about 5:30 onward to work on data entry, which I might be able to get done (by myself, mind you) by 9 o'clock if it weren't for the counter. I'm supposed to leave every night at nine (and Oh-Woe-Is-Me-Ooooo keeps telling me to leave anyway, even if I don't finish the data entry, but that's not the way I work), but the data entry kept me there Thursday and Friday until almost 9:30, which meant that by the time I got on and off the Metro, caught my bus, and got home, instead of getting home at ten, I ended up getting home just before eleven. There are no cute guys working there to make me feel better about any of this. (There's one passably good-looking guy, but he's sporting a wedding ring and holed up in his own office all the time. Oh, and there's Colin, God of Sex, but he doesn't count because ... well, if you've seen Love Actually, just imagine Colin as a flaming redhead and you'll see my problem.)

Today, I am sooooooo finding shortcuts for the data entry. Like seeing if some of it's ready the minute I get finished in the AD room at four just so I can start on it. (I seriously don't get this place. There's about four or five sales people and nobody doing any actual package research. The other station's starting to look like a model of organization at this point.)

EDIT: It's a link off FW, but I couldn't resist because the arrogance of Ashlee Simpson's response on her website is pretty amazing: Once i can get in contact with the webmaster, everythings getting deleted. It doesn't matter anyway, there's too many important people behind my career to stop it now.

Even if you give her the benefit of the doubt and say she's deleting the really obnoxious posters on that forum -- it's one thing to call her on the lipsynching, but there's some really nasty insults on there for a forum that's probably got a lot of young girls reading it -- "There's too many important people behind my career to stop it now" is a fairly stupid thing to say even for a pop princess.

CONFUSED WEBSITE WANDERER OF EDIT: Someone on another part of the forums is arguing it never happened because MTV News didn't report it. Wow. I never thought I'd see so much stupid in one person, but apparently it's possible to fit five hundred pounds of stupid into a hundred pound fangirl.

Now for the real question -- why the hell am I still on the Ashlee Simpson website? Oh, wait, I remember. Because I like watching gory, awful disasters.
