Apparently, the new version of "The Twilight Zone" redid "The Monsters Are On Maple Street" with the plotline changed to be terrorists in their midsts. Well, if they're going to remake that episode, the last couple of years have been a good time to do it. (Although I liked the ending twist in the old episode better than the one in this version, but that's because ... well, it's the old "Twilight Zone" and Rod Serling was some form of deity. :))

So anyway, the good news and the bad news. The good news is, I've been writing. The bad news is, due to circumstances beyond my control, if I wanted to go see The Incredibles, I had to go see it today rather than tomorrow. (If you even want to call it bad news, because OMGWTFLOVELOVELOVE.) I didn't get to take reviewin' notes, but still ... I need a Violet icon like a desperate, needy thing. And an Edna icon, just as soon as I can come up with a caption I like. Ooo, and a Jack Jack icon of that bit when he's on fire. 'Cause, hee! You know, when someone gets around to screencapping that. And, well, after it's not a big spoiler anymore. :)

In other news, I brought brown hair dye as close to the color of my roots as I could manage. So, either later or tomorrow morning, I'm going to be a brunette again.

Okay, back to writing. I haven't let myself count words lately, but I know it has to be at least over 10k. *happy dance*

EDIT: Every time I put on iTunes when I write and leave it on shuffle, it inevitably plays "Paperback Writer" within the first five songs. Ha, ha, very funny. ;P

ANNOYED WRITING TYPIST OF EDIT: Damn it, my printer would run out of ink when I could really, really use it. When I was plotting The Monsters of Minooka, I printed off all the bits and pieces I had written, stuck them in the correct order in a notebook, then detailed the plot and chapters that way. And now when I want to do it again, I can't. *sulks*

MISCHIEVOUS ELECTRONIC DEVICE OF EDIT: Hey, it played "Paperback Writer" again! For crying out loud, I get it. I'm writing, okay? And I'm writing on you, so back off! *sticks out tongue at computer*

I am so getting that movie when it comes out on DVD. Mr. Incredible has this reaction to thinking his family's in danger that's fucking priceless. I've seen flesh-and-blood actors who can't be that realistic.

The Incredibles is their best movie yet... wow. Saw it yesterday, absolutely loved it.

Only thing that dissapointed me was the lack of a bloopers reel at the end. :'(

i saw it this afternoon and you know what i want? a TV series with edna and helen snarking about lame superhero costumes. and frozone needs his own movie. and brad bird needs to be chained to a desk and forced to write and direct at least 3 sequels. it was just. THAT. GOOD. the fantastic 4 movie needs to be half this awesome and probably won't be.

oh and i want the DVD on my shelf by 2pm tomorrow with 2 discs of extras and one audio commentary with brad bird and another with the whole cast in character can someone arrange that plzkthx.

I won't be truly happy with the Fantastic Four movie unless Reed Richards turns into a motorboat and a parachute and gets stuck between at least three sliding doors and is actually a computer-animated Holly Hunter. So ... probably not.

And if Frozone got his own movie, I would fucking FLIP OUT. He's Samuel L. Jackson with Bobby Drake's powers -- ergo, he's the perfect superhero.

"Be cool, man. I just. want. a drink. of water." *SQUEE*

Although they really needed to flesh out Mirage a bit more (was she a super as well, and if so, what's her power-set? how'd she end up working for Syndrome?) but it's forgiveable considering the number of characters they were working with.

Tell me about it. All I could think was, "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Just like that, because I have Iceman on the brain and I knew exactly what was coming. *bounces up and down happily*
