I've figured out that since everybody who's got a higher word count is ~~intimidating the hell out of me~~ impressing me to the point where I'm blocking, I'd stop going for word count and work on getting chapters done. Now, that's working. And I've got five chapters that are close enough to done where I can at least feel motivated to get those out of the way, which should do a lot to build up my word count by the weekend.

In other news, reality TV is starting to turn off TV viewers. I'm sorry, "starting to"? Dude, I only watch one reality TV show as of this moment, if Extreme Makeover: Home Edition even counts as a reality TV show. And tonight, I tape The Amazing Race, and there's a reason you'll only catch me watching those two reality shows -- because they're GOOD. If ninety-nine percent of reality TV didn't downright suck from being made out of a bad concept or cobbled together at the last minute, and if it wasn't killing off every good genre show on TV, maybe we might actually watch more of it.

Also, I still say Wife Swap would be more entertaining if the wives were never allowed to go back.
