Dear God, I'm going to ask you for the same thing I've asked you for every Tuesday for the past few months -- please kick Jonathan and Victoria off TAR already in tonight's episode. In fact, kicking them off the planet entirely would be appreciated, as well. And how scary is it that if they do get kicked off tonight, I'm so getting up early tomorrow to watch The Early Show or whatever the hell it's called to see what bogus excuse he's going to give for his behavior now? *sigh*

You know what else would be nice? If we still had a TWoP recapper for Lost who acted like he liked the show. I mean, yeah, Television Without Pity, but ... well, Dan Kwa spoiled me, I guess.

EDIT: You know, if someone could tell me where to get an animated icon of the Geico gecko doing the Robot (or can make the icon themselves), they can have my firstborn. You know, if I ever get one. :)

I sympathize with you on the TWOp thing. The "Amazing Race" recaps are the only ones I've ever been able to finish. Every other one I've tried, they're just way too long and way too mean to bother.

I don't mind the meanness for things like 7th Heaven (which is utter crap and deserves it, and those recaps are really funny) and Charmed (which I like for being silly and stupid, but it still deserves all the snark it gets). But the thing with Lost that bugs me is that it's as if they took Miss Alli off the TAR recaps and replaced her with a disgruntled drunken chimp. I know the episodes Daniel's had to recap so far haven't been the best of the series, but still, sheesh.

Yeah, the ones for shows that deserve snarkage can be kind of amusing, though I still tend to get bored about midway through the 15 pages. (And, while I really liked last season, this season of Charmed,/i> has been pretty snarkworthy. You know you have problems when Alyssa Milano and Brian Krause are turning in the best performances.)

That's my main complaint with that site. There comes a point when they're not just ragging on things that deserve a little MST3King, they're going out of their way to be vicious and nasty just 'cause. Worse, they have quite a history of not only bashing characters, which is fine, but going after the actors and the fans as well, which is frankly psychotic.

Honestly? The only TWoP recaps I can stand are Miss Alli's TAR recaps, because she genuinely loves the show (and 90% of the time, likes who I like and hates who I hate). The only other recaps I could read were Shack's American Idol recaps, but I stopped watching that show, so there that went.

Honestly, I never got the feeling Dan Kwa liked the show, either. I do like Kim's Real World recaps, though, where she breaks in about the second-to-last page and does The Most Awesome Thing I Saw on TV This Week. And of course the TAR recaps, as well as several others...

I totally agree with the Miss Alli worship. I kind of feel a little sorry for her this season, because aside from Kris and Jon, it's really starting to piss me off more than entertain me. God, I hope those two win, and if not them, I'll take the wrestlers. (Or if Freddy and Aaron were to dump Hayden and Kendra and form a team, they can win, too. :))

*nods* Total agreement. This season is really starting to go downhill, just because of the horrible casting of Jonathon & Victoria, Kendra, and Hayden. The only thing that hasn't made this my least favorite season ever (that's reserved for TAR 4) is the fact that Kris & Jon are so damned awesome. In TAR 4 there really wasn't any team at all that I loved.

I think it's more like he liked the show more, 'cause quite frankly, I don't see how Daniel could possibly like the show any less, 'B' rating for 'Hearts and Minds' be damned. *sigh*

I don't know why I even bother reading TWoP anymore, considering how mean they've gotten. Seriously, isn't it a pretty much accepted rule that Miss Alli's doing the only entertaining recaps on there? (I feel like sending her a bottle of champagne if Jonathan and Victoria get Philiminated. Hell, I know I'll be drinking when it happens.)

Kris and Jon are pretty much the best team that's ever been on there. If they are fighting about anything at all -- and I doubt it, since they didn't get to see each other a lot and this was like one long extended vacation for them, I imagine -- they were saving it for the Pit Stops, which is a good plan. A little complaining is okay, but non-stop bickering and screaming makes me want to smack J&V someone upside the head with a boat oar.

Not only that, but they're definitely good Racers, as opposed to those who kind of stumble and flail to the finish line and still make it to any position but last place. *coughcoughAdamcoughcough*

As for Kendra, the only reason she's on my good side right now is because of her screaming at Jonathan to help Victoria in the promo for tonight's episode. Becuase seriously, somebody had to. Jesus, that man.

True, Kendra will redeem herself slightly by screaming at Jonathon. But that still doesn't excuse her for the "breeding" comment from a while back :P

Kris & Jon are definitely one of my fave teams ever... not sure if they're the fave team, only because there's been so many fantastic teams in the past - Cha Cha Cha, Ken & Gerard, Jon Vito & Jill... let's just say they're all tied for first with me :P

With you on the TWOP thing. Couch Baron has a pure and sincere love for V-Mars, and the guy doing the OC has a sincere (if not so pure) love for Adrien Brody and by extension the rest of the show, but everything else...yeah, not so much. Is it just me, or does it seem to have taken a big leap forward this year? The old OC recapper damn near worshipped the show, and when Strega was doing Angel recaps she honestly praised the good writing as much as she called bullshit on the lazy.

I don't FF thru Jonathan&Victoria, but that's only because I watch it live (my VCR is broken).

And this week I will honestly try to not say anything bad about them in my review. Which means that I probably won't say anything at all about them, but them's the breaks. Besides, there's always my TAR6 icon to say it for me.

Some of that is due to shows taking downturns as well though. Like Sobell used to be genuinely into CSI, but the show has gotten significantly crappier recently. (And she did give mad love to the Sherlock Holmes episode.) And don't forget Potes, who loves her some Missy Elliott. For the most part, shows that are truly despised by the recapper get dropped because of a combination of actual suck and lack of interest in the recaps (cf. The Mountain and the fifteen billionth season of The Bachelor). And one does have to be able to laugh at fandom in general, or else just ignore the gibes at fanfic and the like. (They allow fanfic threads in the forums; they just reserve the right to make fun of you for being nuts, which we kind of are.)

Of course, I thought Hearts and Minds was a mediocre episode, and a B isn't really all that bad (in fact, it's defined as "not bad").
