Okay, divided by team ...

Ethiopian kids: I don't care if they're not an official team, they're so polite and cute, they're awesome. :)

Hayden & Aaron: You know, I'll give them credit for coming back from last to first. And I'll also give Hayden a little extra credit because she really softened up in the church and around the kids. To be honest, this episode did show one thing about her, and it's that she seems to save her ragging only for Aaron and the occasional cab driver. And as nice as Aaron is, I can understand why she saves her whining for him --- because she's around him all that time and if she's going to get tired of anybody, it's going to be him. Also, "I'm used to leading asses" -- BWAH.

Aaron's cool anyway, but scarily enough, this episode made me warm up a bit to Hayden. Admittedly, she still needs to learn to lay off Aaron, who's doing fine, but at least she's never made a crack about "breeding and breeding". *eyes Kendra* Hayden has never really whined or bitched to a really, really offensive level in front of or about someone who wasn't involved. Of course, she IS still whiny and bitchy, but at least she's not Kendra or Rebecca or Victoria, all of whome are honestly worse than she is.

Jonathan and Victoria: Okay, Jonathan wasn't exactly at the level of annoying schmuck he usually is at, but, yeah. Adios, jackasses. (Speaking of which, I did like what somebody on the TWoP boards said, which was something like, "What was the problem? They needed to show up with two jackasses. Victoria brought a donkey and Jonathan." *snerk*) And then they get on the mat and Jonathan starts speechifying, and I just wanted to drop him on his head into that gorgeous church. I'm not the least bit surprised he didn't enter it, either, because I imagine he would have burst into flames immediately.

I was tempted to get up this morning and watch them on The Early Show, but they had a decent recap of it on the TWoP boards. Basically, it looked like Harry Smith followed the show and gave them the attitude of, "Jonathan, you didn't even give enough of a shit when your wife screamed to find out what was wrong with her?!" Hee.

Freddy and Kendra: On one hand, they're very nice to one another most of the time and concerned for their respective well-being. And their reaction to Victoria's injury, which was to be nice to Victoria and called Jonathan a jackass was classic. :)

On the other hand, "It's refreshing?" Fuck you, KKKendra. I hope you learned your lesson when that very sweet Ethiopian kid carried your bag.

Adam and Rebecca: As bitchy as Rebecca can be, she is a good Racer, and I keep getting the impression that if she were paired up with any of the other guys, I might actually like her. But she's paired up with Adam, who's immature and whiny and has childish temper tantrums, and she's been dealing with a boyfriend who acts like this for two freakin' years. Why, I don't know -- I think he's sweet when he's trying to show that he loves her, but he's sweet the way a twelve-year-old is with his first girlfriend -- but this is already frustrating enough of a situation to get into without having to deal with someone who behaves like Adam can.

Lori & Bolo: Twenty pounds? Jesus. *headshake*

Kris & Jon: God, they're cute. Can we keep them, and maybe a couple of the nicest Ethiopian kids? Pleeeeeeeeeease? (And I couldn't help but notice that when Kris and Jon ran into Lori and Bolo in Rome, Kris gave Lori a hug in greeting. Aww.)

And I know it looks like I'm giving some of the whinier people a little too much credit after this episode, but I'm watching it this morning through the rose-colored glasses of "WOOHOO ASSHAT AND OTHER ASSHAT ARE GONEGONEGONE! The national nightmare is over! YAY! *flails*

No words that can express the relief that Asshat and Doormat are eliminated. I'm sure Phil is happy, too. He just couldn't keep that smirk off his face when Asshat came to the Fancy Amazing Bathmat (it's like they knew it would be a Philimination to celebrate) with those kids with their fists in their air, like they're ending some kind of oppression. Well, they were, but I don't think Jonathan's oppression of the spirits of TAR fans is what they had in mind.

Hayden wasn't so bad this episode. She just needs to calm down a bit, like the church made her do, and she's all right. I love Aaron -- I think he's hotter than Jon.

I'd like to think Kendra learned something interacting with the people of Ethiopia but she was a little too patronizing for me to actually believe it...

What the hell is wrong with Adam? Was he trying to sit on her lap? He's so ew.

I discovered last night I'm actually rooting for Lori and Bolo. That kind of snuck up on me since I had major pre-hate for them. But there's just something doofy about them I like.
