Jan. 23rd, 2005 09:54 pmFirst off, an openly gay student was sent home from school after wearing a handmade shirt with the Mean Girls line "Too Gay To Function" on the front.
In other news, Desperate Housewives ...
Susan -- Oh, SUSAN. How does she get herself into these messes? And, you know, at first I thought she was being paranoid about the kissing. Seriously, Julie is fourteen, not ten, and she got caught kissing Zach, not engaging in a hardcore sex show in the kitchen. But then Zach did that little display of temper, and I just ... I just 'Oh, SUSAN' myself into a headache every week anymore. And forbidding Julie to see Zach is asking for a hell of a lot more trouble.
Bree -- Bree is the best Republican EVER. And she and Rex should totally stay together and snipe at one another, because as of right now, they're one of my favorite married couples on TV evereverever. In conclusion, someone please find a way for me to move into the Van De Kamp home and sit there invisible to the naked eye and eating popcorn all of the damn time.
Lynette -- Lynette is selfish and stupid and drives me insane, but this week, I couldn't agree with her more with the punting of the father-in-law and Gay Matt. *snerk*
Gabrielle -- Boy, John is just a big naive child, isn't he? It takes a lot to make Gabrielle look like the responsible adult one, but he's doing a bang-up job.
In other news, I think I'm falling in love with Boston Legal. Oh, this is not good. Like I need another fandom. (And the Blind Justice promos are tempting me, too, and the title's not even that good. But it's like Daredevil except without the massive suck! Um, I think.)

Date: 2005-01-24 03:27 am (UTC)Rex tried to get Bree not to work on divorce proceedings. Didn't work. Then he got jealous of George and went to the pharmacy to insult him to make him feel bad. That did work. Unfortunately, he did it right before trying to pick up his heart medication, so ... yeah, smooth move, Rex.
John tried to propose to Gabrielle (because he's an IDIOT) because he figured that since he gave up his scholarship and focused on his gardening business, she'd want him with his steady job over Carlos and his house arrest. Uh, yeah. Not a chance.
Lynette's father-in-law (Ryan O'Neal) came to stay and got caught by her cheating on his wife with another woman. So she kicked him out. She broke the news to her husband, and he (somewhat) defended him. So she kicked him out, too. Yay for Lynette ... for once. Aaaaand then Gay Matt said something to his dad at the end about his keeping a secret from Lynette. Oh, GAY MATT.
Meanwhile, Susan found out about Zach killing Dana and forbid Julie from seeing him. Yeah, good idea. Except it turns out that according to Paul, Dana's still alive. (So where the hell is she OMGWTF?!?!)

Date: 2005-01-24 03:30 am (UTC)I wonder if we'll get any answers this season or if it will be a huge cliffhanger until next year.
Thanks :)

Date: 2005-01-24 03:37 am (UTC)But I'm thinking that the man who hired Mike to come to Wisteria Lane is somehow involved in the whole Dana thing too... I think he suspects Dana is alive and wanted Mike to get info on it.
Maybe he was Mary Alice's father... it would kind of make sense with the timing... Mike moved in after Mary Alice's suicide, right? Maybe the guy thought with MA gone, Paul would give away something that would help him locate Dana.
I'm rambling and probably not making any sense.

Date: 2005-01-24 05:59 am (UTC)Also, confusing. Upon reading the title, this was the show that popped into my head and I was all: "Why would she be excited over that?"

Date: 2005-01-24 06:29 am (UTC)Although given some of the things we've gotten on this show, I wouldn't put the eleventy-billion thing past it.
