apocalypsosSo, today there was an attempted murder at our workplace.
No, really.
So I go into work today and one of the guys in dispatch, Monty (the one who always calls me Gingerbread) isn't around. I'm getting ready to do the dispatch audits and somebody comes into the room and says, "Hey, who wants to see the video?" And I'm thinking, "The video of what?" So I trail along after everybody else into Bossman's office, and he shows us the video.
Apparently, early this morning when everybody was sorting packages at the end of the conveyor belt, Monty was tossing packages into one of the crates when his ex-girlfriend stalked through the open back door, walked right up to him, and stabbed him in the chest, then walked right back out again in all the confusion. Luckily, Monty's okay -- well, as okay as you can be with a stab wound in your chest that could have pierced your lung if it were only two inches to the left.
And you know, after I got done worrying about his condition (which is fine as of right now), all I could think about was how stupid his ex-girlfriend has to be. Seriously, she could have done it anywhere else where there wouldn't have been a dozen and a half security cameras, but she did, and now there's a fairly clear recording of her stabbing him.
