apocalypsosYou know, I don't think I could ever bring myself to hit my own kids, but the more I watch Lynette with her kids, the more that all I can think of is my grandmother and her seven kids, five of them boys and all of whom she used to spank with a wooden spoon. (Which my aunt Irene still has. Yeah, there's a childhood memento to keep around.) And as much as I'm against spanking for my own kids (should I ever have any), I keep screaming at the TV when Lynette's onscreen, "Damn it, spank the little bastards already!" (And the neighbor, Mrs. Landingham -- which isn't what her name was, but hello, West Wing -- was very cool in the end.)
Aw, Rex just got so puppy-excited about Bree doing the domination thing. And he has a box of S&M toys in the closet! BWAH. Why the hell didn't Bree ever find them in there? And I give her credit for trying, although seriously, Bree, I love you but you need to loosen up just a wee bit. Handcuffs in the dishwasher? No, Bree, sub-dom games now, intense scrubbing and disinfectant later.
Okay, so, Susan? Yeah, don't you think that now would be a good time to stop dating Mike? I mean, you know he has a stash of money and a gun in his cabinet, and now he's got a mysterious gunshot wound. And I know he seems like a great guy, but he also seems like a freakin' criminal. Also, if my mother had ever walked into my bedroom and just blurted out anything involving the words "cervix," I'd still be jamming Q-Tips through my eardrums in an attempt to get the bad brain cells outs. Stop warping Julie's fragile young mind.
As for Gabrielle, it's good that she's getting knocked down a peg, because that Pretty Pretty Princess routine was getting really, REALLY old. And next week, bad Gabrielle! No gardener!
EDIT: Why aren't you watching Boston Legal, damn it? William Shatner and Candice Bergen are flirting, and it's actually kinda hot in a very weird, old way. :)
OTHER EDIT: The first season of Night Court is on DVD?! Yes, yes it is! And it's twenty-one bucks?! *squeals, keels over, dies*
