apocalypsosAaaaaand we get a fake "Catherine Zeta-Jones" reference just so Chris Rock and Adam Sandler can be on stage together. Dude, just say they're there to promote The Longest Yard and END THIS NOW. (Hee. Hilary Swank wanted to say something to Chad Lowe and held up her hand to whisper it and not have anybody reading her lips. Good idea, Hilary. Some people actually pay attention to that.)
And the Best Adapted Screenplay award goes to ... Sideways! Yay! And look, I see Paul Giamatti in the audience! Hi, Paul! You're so darn cuddly. :) And Sandra Oh is so freaking gorgeous.
DAMN. Zhang Ziyi looks freakin' amazing. Spider-Man 2 should win just for the train sequence ... and it did! YAY. "Boy, am I glad there wasn't a fourth episode of Lord of the Rings." Hee. Doll, everybody this year is grateful for that.
And it's the president of the Academy, dedicating the show to the military. Amen. Al Pacino shows up to present an honorary Oscar to Sidney Lumet. Dude, is Al Pacino buzzed? 'Cause if not, he sure has hell looks it. Blah blah blah. I hate these speeches. Bring out Lumet already. 12 Angry Men! Oh, GOD, do I love that movie. Fail Safe ... yay for any movie that features nukes. :) Network ... OMG, Running on Empty, my favorite River Phoenix movie! *whimpers* And young Christopher Walken, back when he looked less scary and actually kind of cute. There he is, FINALLY. Hi, Sidney Lumet. I beg you to be brief. And he was, for an honorary Oscar speech. So good for him. :)
