Sep. 19th, 2005 12:31 pmI may be getting a car! Which is only five hundred bucks, but is still apparently a decent car! *restrained flail*
Also, my parents supposedly got most of my apartment moved in this weekend, so that's good. :)
Okay, in other news, I was thinking last night during the Emmys about what I'm hoping to see out of favorite shows this year, and what I don't want to see. So now, I vent (with spoilers for all shows).
Lost
What I want to see:
-- Some answers would be nice. To ANYTHING.
-- If the flashbacks are going to keep happening, having them be a little more pertinent to the situation rather than having that "This reminds me of that thing that happened that one time" vibe to them would be nice. So, a little less Charlie and a little more Locke, is what I think I'm getting at.
-- More Shannon backstory. Jeez, any Shannon backstory. I like the girl, damn it. She's the most realistic woman on there, even as bitchy as she is.
-- If they could build some huts or something, that'd be nice, too. I think at this point in they're stay, they've gone past the "waiting for help to arrive" stage of disaster survival and moved into the "well, I guess we're stuck here" stage.
-- I want Hurley to get some love, damn it.
What I don't want to see:
-- If Kate and her toy airplane went away, I wouldn't complain.
-- Using Ana Lucia as an excuse to ignore the characters we already have. We already don't get enough screen time for some of them as is.
-- Any of the guys on the raft to die. At least one of them will probably die, of course, but I happen to like all of those guys and I'll miss them if they go.
Arrested Development
What I want to see:
-- George Michael and Maeby finding out she's adopted. Or not. Just so long as they make out, because they're SO FREAKING CUTE. (I can't believe I'm rooting for possible incest. Jesus. Then again, I was hoping for Shannon/Boone last season, so ...)
-- GOB doing pretty much anything.
-- The show just doing exactly what it's always done, because it's perfectly fine the way it is. :)
What I don't want to see:
-- Well, I'm a little iffy on that Charlize Theron casting thing, but that's about it.
Veronica Mars
What I want to see:
-- Veronica and Logan together. But that's obvious. :)
-- Aaron getting easily convicted. With the evidence they've got, it shouldn't be a piece of cake.
-- Lianne to get some fucking comeuppance for that shit she pulled with the reward money.
-- More Weevil. Oh, God, more Veronica and Weevil hanging out.
-- The same level of homoerotic subtext we've come to know and love. *eg*
What I don't want to see:
-- The guest stars sucking. Not that that's ever been a problem before, but sometimes I worry.
-- Veronica Mars continue to get shafted by the awards shows. Give them a fucking Emmy, damn it.
Desperate Housewives
What I want to see:
-- Zach turn out to be Mike's son. And then Mike get stuck taking him in. And then Susan spazzing out. HEE.
-- Tom turn out to be better with the kids than Lynette ever was.
-- Gabrielle's baby turn out to be Carlos's, but not have Carlos find out until after he discovers the affair was real and kicks her to the curb.
-- Bree to continue being the most awesome person on the planet.
-- Alfre Woodard's character's arc not to suck.
What I don't want to see:
-- Well, pretty much anything that continues to make Susan look like an imbecile, Gabrielle look even more selfish than she already is, and Lynette look like ... well, honestly, a lot of times, she looks more selfish than Gabrielle, but let's not even go there.
