So the Miers nomination was withdrawn. So much for getting that ringer on the Supreme Court bowling team. But in all seriousness, who will the Daily Show get to make fun of next? Somebody on another thread mentioned Bush possibly nominating Karl Rove, and now I know my gag reflex still works.

Also, the White Sox won the World Series. Yay for them! I like it when teams that haven't won for a while win. So now next year the Cubbies can win and every baseball fan can officially have a heart attack.

And, YAAAAY! I got that copy of the Generation X TV movie. You realize, of course, this means recapping. *cackles maniacally*

P.S. I need a new job. I hate twelve-hour shifts. And eight extra hours of work a week that I can't get out of SUCKS ROCKS.

EDIT: fallofrain, do you know how much I dislike the job I have now? I actually considered putting in an application at Diversified again. Now, that's desperate.

Bush is dumb. I mean, to properly express that we'd need Meatwad from Aqua Teens sitting here saying "He real dumb" in that Meatwad-y voice of his. However, and maybe I'm being naive, I don't think he's dumb enough to nominate a Justice who has neither practiced law as his profession in quite some time, nor not been under investigation for treason for a little while.

While I'm on the subject, let me just bask for a moment... DeLay. Libby. Rove. Cheney. I wonder if Shrub actually things that if they go down, he'll just sort of remain unscathed. Ah, good times. The only thing that would make it better would be a pair of pliers, a blowtorch, and five minutes alone with Ann Coulter.

I am happy for the White Sox. They deserved a win. I am not happy for the fans because for a good portion of my life (as in, all of it), the Sox had horrible attendance and no one cared about them. Until now. And I find it so completely lame that there are people who are all OMG EXCITED about baseball who don't even understand the rules and didn't care until they were in the world series. Ugh, ugh, rant. ^_^

Also, Cubbies shouldn't win next year. Two years. That way, you know, they can win for the hundredth anniversary of the last time they won.

Where on earth did you find this thing? I remember going through the stack of videos before I moved out, and although I found 113 different video tapes that were blank or had the name scratched out (including one that actually SAID Generation X Movie!) none of them were the actual video...

Wow, you could have been talking about 80% of the Red Sox "fans" I know! Except they're whiny and overprivileged, too.

Anyway, whichever team won this Series, it would have been a good story. The White Sox hadn't won in a long time, but the Astros had never even been to the Series. And with the age of their roster, I doubt they're have a "next year."
