The point not only missed him by a mile, it flew around the room, bounced off a bunch of other people (severely wounding one or two) broke a light fixture and landed on his desk where he brushed it off into his wastebasket without noticing.

What I picture in my head involves the initial meeting between company and consultant starting with a warning that what the company is meant to do is listen to their advice and then turn around and do the exact opposite. It makes so much more sense that way.

As it happens my new business covers some similar ground and I fully expect someone to pay me scads of money for what I'm doing, then lose the product and blame me.
