YAY! I'm done with the hard part of the Wincest, which is of course the naughtybrothersex. (And yes, describing the "naughtybrothersex" as the "hard part" made my inner thirteen-year-old giggle. Why do you ask?)

Of course, now I have to write the rest of the story, but considering that I've never really written the naughtyboysex in detail, that was the hurdle I really needed to get over.

Coincidentally, while I was writing it, the theme music to Brokeback Mountain came up on my Zen.

Heh. "Came up."

Oh, God, I'm definitely not going to be able to go bowling tonight if I can't slip my brain out of naughtybrothersex mode. *headdesk*

P.S. Erm, I am so going to need a beta for this either today or tomorrow (or the next day, if I don't pull this off), if only because if there's one thing I don't want to screw up, it's the naughtybrothersex.

Oooh! oooh! I'm a great beta! Please? Can I? That would be so cool!

...Completely unrelated, I was wondering if you'd look over this ficlet I posted yesterday? It's here. I'd really appreciate it, as it's my first foray into this fandom...

Apparently, there's a Supernatural friending meme esp. for people who are squicked by Wincest. Gah? Doesn't that defeat the whole point of the Supernatural and its fandom ;)

Heh. Well, I certainly understand the people who don't get into the naughtybrothersex, and good for 'em for figuring out who's writing what they're looking for. (Let's face it ... in any other fandom, we'd be the minority.) I'm just a little uneasy about the whole thing if only because most of the great Wincest writers I know aren't writing only Wincest. I mean, I'm pro-Wincest, and I've written it before, but that's one story out of eleven. What worries me about that whole thing isn't that they're friending each other -- which I get and like I said, good idea, because at least they know where they can go and who they can talk to to avoid us pervs *eg* -- but that they'll miss some awesome non-Wincest stories written by Wincest writers because they're avoiding the naughtybrothersex. (On the other hand, Supernatural fandom tends to rec each other to high heaven, so I guess we all read the good stuff eventually. But still. :))

The whole Wincest vs. non-Wincest situation is starting to remind me a little of the Spike vs. Angel shipper wars in BtVS fandom, which, GYAH. I don't have the mental fortitude to do that again.

But in the long run, I both know that I'm a perv AND that I stopped being squicked by anything other than bad writing a loooong time ago. ;)

(I swear to God, I have a meta essay about my views on the whole Wincest vs. non-Wincest thing churning in my head. Maybe I'll even get around to typing it up one of these days.)
