apocalypsosMy mother just called to ask me if I went to the job fair yesterday. Which I did, and it was stupid because it's all the same places I've tried for before and hated, but I looked around anyway.
When I mentioned I'd seen my aunt's brother at the booth for the one place I used to work after I left college, she asked me with complete seriousness if I'd given him my resume to try and reapply there.
So, let's see:
Number of times I've had to tell my mother that place was making me violently ill before I quit after they'd put me in the part of the factory that stayed thirty degrees all night long for the millionth time in a row even though I was living in her house at the time and she couldn't have missed me coming home early once a shift for two straight months ... 742,356 times.
I'd like to say this shit never gets old, but it does.
I'M NOT REAPPLYING FOR A JOB THERE, MOM. ASK AGAIN AND THERE WILL BE SMITING POSTHASTE.
