One of my best friends had her boyfriend break up with her yesterday via text message.

The line to smack him upside the head forms to the left.

(My reaction: "What, he didn't have any Post-It notes handy?" Making it the only time I will EVER make a "Sex and the City" reference, since I loathe that show and its characters like a foul ungodly stench.)

Meanwhile, I have to go to bed RIGHT NOW if I want to write the fic idea I had last night. Wheeeeee!

Gods, I'm old because I can remember the day I actually wrote (on paper, yo!) a "Dear John" letter. It was really a "Dear Don" letter.

That happened to one of the girls I work with too.
Four years and he breaks up with her via text, and now she tells us he's trying to get back together with her via text message; it's not as though they live 20 hours apart either, he lives in the same town.

She's, happily, ignoring his texts and isn't willing to give him a second chance.

God, what is it with men lately? My friend/housemate's boyfriend broke up with her via email in the middle of the workday on Monday. The kicker is that she has a "desk" job, which he knew, so he knew she'd get the email when he sent it because she constantly checks her mail at work. I believe I called him a "dickless wonder" in response.

I have an ex girlfriend who was broke up with TWICE via e-mail while she was in the hospital.
