June fic round-up
Jun. 30th, 2006 03:06 pmBut first, a Santorum-mocking contest in Philly. Hee! At this rate, I can't wait for the election to come up.
I'm still hoping that work will call and cancel my overtime. I'm not in the mood to go anywhere tonight, much less into work. Bah.
In any event, since I won't be getting any other fic finished tonight without some sort of miracle, the June fic round-up ...
Lay Your Weary Head To Rest (Supernatural/Charmed, for
apocalyptothon) -- You don't find the boys. The boys find you.
Interesting Times (Supernatural) -- Dean doesn't even think about the curse until the next morning, and by then it's too late. God, I torture that man so much. Heh. :)
Tomorrow We'll Go To The Fair (Supernatural) -- What Sammy wants, it seems, is just peace and quiet and Mommy and Daddy and Dean. That's all. I love writing pre-fire fic. Awwww.
Wound So Tight (Supernatural) -- They make a silent deal, the closest thing to a gentleman's agreement Dean's ever made. No, really. SO MUCH. I'm starting to think I'm not really satisfied unless I come out of writing a story wanting to cuddle the hell out of Dean. You know, more than usual.
Drive Until You Feel Daylight (Supernatural) -- The demon is positive he's won for all of ten seconds. I don't want the Winchesters to have to get a new car next season. I want to live in a fabulous world of denial where the Impala is still intact by some creepy miracle, damn it. *pets it*
Brother, What A Fight It Really Was (Supernatural) -- Following the events of "Devil's Trap", Sam goes on a quest for his father and Dean. The sad thing is that that plot's been on my plotbunny list since not long after the episode and it took this long to write it. *grumbles*
Wave If You See Me From Afar (Superman Returns) -- After you stop being worried and start being angry, which takes about another two weeks of searching empty skies, you get absurdly hateful of his hair. Not to get all spoilery, but I had to write this. Not that Kate was a great Lois -- she was far better than I thought she'd be, but I thought she'd be an unemotional swizzle stick, so ... *shrugs* -- but I dwelled on that mental image of what Lois must have gone through while Superman was gone for the entire forty-minute ride home from the movie theater.
Hmm. I know I steal most of my story titles from song lyrics or song titles, but seeing five of seven like that is a little disconcerting.
EDIT: Ooookay, that makes sixty-seven fics this year. It's only halfway through the year and I've written sixty-seven fics. I think I only wrote twenty-two for all of last year. Sheesh.
