Do you know why I keep signing up for overtime at work even though I don't want to? Because I sure as hell don't.

Didn't tape The 4400 again, but hopefully I'll remember to do it on Wednesday. And next week is when my shift aligns just right so I'll get Sundays off for a while, so yaaaay! Of course, the downside is that I'll have start working Wednesdays just in time for new Project Runway. *sigh*

Somebody left a copy of one of the Maximum Ride books in the break room at work and I kind of ... well, borrowed it. (What? It's been there since last shift. If they haven't taken it back by now, somebody let it loose in the wild.) I've been meaning to read them for a while, and now I'm a little annoyed with myself that I didn't pick them up sooner. This is so my kind of series. :)

They let people go home early last night by order of seniority and stopped right before they got to me. *grumbles* The good thing is that I have tomorrow off, because for some stupid reason, there was actually a question about whether or not we would. And I have no cookout and no fireworks to go to so I'm going to clean this apartment from top to bottom if it freaking kills me. And then I shall fic, although I really do want to do a "The Plot of The Books of Boggs (Possibly With Pretty Pictures)" post, too.

The phrase "somebody let it loose in the wild" just randomly reminded me of Book Crossing. I haven't thought about that site in YEARS.

BWAHAHAHA! I swear, that book's been there so long that I really did look inside the front cover for a BookCrossing number. :)

I'm trying so hard to say something abuot this week's 4400 without spoiling anything for you... How about this: there are a couple of throwaway comments that reveal a lot about the effect that even a few 4400 can have on the total timeline.

The 4400 made me squee and flail. I am now officially hopelessly addicted. *sighs*
