[Poll #784063]

Yeah, they're all academic prompts, and aside from the spelling bee one they're all about Dean. I just think the man has more of a brain than he's given credit for, damn it. I'm really leaning towards the home economics one, 'cause it would be funny and he'd probably turn out to be good at it and I wouldn't even have to research cooking and sewing, but I'm still indecisive. The European history one has appeal just because Dean would definitely enjoy European history, given the right angle to examine it from and the right teacher.

I don't want to do them all, though. The ones that appeal to me the most are the academic ones and five stories about Dean in school is a bit much. (OMG, please don't try to persuade me otherwise. I don't have enough of a social life as it is! *whimpers*)

EDIT: Okay, you know what? I'm going to do the home ec one and THEN do the chem one when I finish that one, mostly because I can only take one at a time and I don't even need to research the home ec one. The chem one, on the other hand ... that, I'll definitely need to look stuff up for. (And someone already took the European history one, which is probably a good thing, considering.)

Is it good or bad that my immediate thought in regards to a European History teacher was "OMG YOU COULD USE GILES!"?

I'm so sad.

Oh my goodness, PLEASE do the home ec one. That was actually a prompt I submitted and I would just pee myself if you wrote it!

And yes, I'm shameless.

Heh. I just called dibs. I have to. It's a moral imperative! :)

AWESOME. (And just to be clear, you can claim the chem one tomorrow -- you don't have to wait to submit the first story to snag the second. The one-at-a-time rule is just to prevent against people snatching up five good ones and then only coming through with one, that sort of thing. :) )

Ahhh. Good to know.

Although I'll probably finish the home ec one by tomorrow. Dean has crawled into my brain with my sewing machine and my cookie sheets and he's giving me this LOOK.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, I can't even believe we'll ALREADY BE GETTING STORIES. I think I'm going to throw up.

Dean is very good at LOOKs, I think.

Oh, I'm so glad the chemistry one is winning, because it will remind me of my chem lab days, where we had a really absent minded teacher and a week rarely went by where someone didn't a) set something totally inappropriate on fire or b) singe an eyebrow off. Dean in my HS chemistry class? Would have razed the entire building.

Oh, I vote chemistry one - only because I suggested it and I think you'd do a fantastic job with it. I had this silly idea about Dean experimenting on home-made bullets.

Heh. Well, I'm probably doing it second, if only because I don't have to research the home ec one at ALL. I grew up with a grandmother who taught me to sew and a mother who taught me to bake and ended up finishing every home ec assignment I ever got in record time, including the time I finished putting together a pair of shorts in one class period while everybody else was still trying to figure out which end of the pattern was up.

The chem one, on the other hand ... that'll require a lot more research, since I was never much of a science geek. But if someone hasn't grabbed it by the time I finish the home ec one, MINE. :)

My dad blew up his school chem lab when he was fifteen. He later worked with the bomb disposal squad. I worry about that sometimes. *g*

I'm hoping you do have the time to write both.

Oooh, let me be your chem lab bitch!

I have a story about how I accidentally made methamphetamines in orgo lab. :)

I went for the home economics because seriously, he's the one in the family who 'runs' the house so I think in the end he'd find it pretty useful.

Exactly! And he'd probably turn out to be really good at it, too, and have to grit his teeth and smile around pretty girls who couldn't even bake a cake from an instant box without screwing it up.

I'm so with you there...

and since we're in the cooking subject, have you read Red Beans and Rice by [livejournal.com profile] janissa11?

From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Nope, hadn't read that. Damn. Poor Dean. Even when he wins, he loses.

But ... but he cooks. *swoons* God, that's hot.

Yeah, isn't he the person we hate se see suffering but love to make suffer?

And Dean using his cooking skills (that he learned all by himself) to try and keep his family together and happy? And the perfect lasagna..."?

I voted for the home ec one myself. :D

Mainly because I think it'd be hilarious but also because I can just picture Dean suprising Sam with his domestic skills every now and then and Sam wondering just HOW Dean learned to make a quiche. :P

The actual quote Lyndon Johnson said about Gerald Ford is: "He's so dumb he can't fart and chew gum at the same time."

Wow, I kind of love all of those. I can't wait to see the ones you do-- blowig up chemistry labs, whee!

(And link the European History one, if it's any good!)

Dude, have you seen the prompt list for [livejournal.com profile] spn_flashback? It's awesome. I can't wait to see the stories that come out of this.

I've already got 650 words on the home ec story. HEE.

OK, I voted for the chem lab one because there's NOTHING about that prompt that's not funny. Though I'm sure you'll do great with whichever one you pick. *said in the tone of my guilt-tripping grandmother.*

I misread that as 'Dean blows up the chemistry lab. In every high school in the country'.
