New Line Studios has had extraordinary success in keeping details of Snakes on a Plane secret. The film is due to open Friday without benefit of preview showings or even screenings for critics, although no one is expecting the film to bite the dust. On Wednesday, Reuters observed, "Smart moviegoers usually avoid a film released without advance screenings because it can indicate a studio knows the movie is bad. But Snakes is unusual. People who have never seen it already call themselves 'fans' and many hope it will be awful." New York Post critic Kyle Smith indicated today (Thursday) that he's one of them. "Bad Movies are special," he wrote, "genre flicks - shoot-'em-ups, stabathons, disaster epics -- that make you holler and stomp for 90 minutes. Then when the lights go up and someone asks you how it was, you reply, 'Oh that? That was a Bad Movie.' A Bad Movie is a bad movie you watch over and over."

PREACH IT, BABY.

As long as there are snakes and a plane and Samuel L. Jackson, I'm going to be fucking ecstatic. I'm trying to decide between wearing my "Bite Me" shirt, my "Bites When Provoked" shirt, or my "Hello Cthulhu" shirt. "Bites When Provoked" would probably work best, don't you think? ;) *cannot wait for tomorrow*

Watched the finale of America's Got Talent. YAY BIANCA RYAN! They should have just handed her the check from day one. And she was just so freakin' stunned! It was adorable. Good for her. :)

And LEONID! He was everywhere, and they even gave him a little clip montage. You know what I'd love, though? I'd love a icon of him on last night's Jimmy Kimmel, because he came out right after Paul Reubens, sat down, and put his boots up on the desk, then leaned back and gave Paul this coquettish smile. And then Paul beamed and put his head on his folded hands all flirtatious, and it was the BEST THING EVER.

To everybody who has sent me music so far ... *tackleglomps* You guys are awesome. Thanks! :)

I need to go write fic. I'm going through deprivation, I swear. I'd ask for more prompts, but I feel guilty when I ask for prompts and then don't get to work on all of them.

Re: Snakes on a Plane
I'm just worried that maybe it won't be as terrible as I'm hoping. I mean, there's special bad, which is so bad it's good - but what if it's just so-so bad?
*hasthefear!*
*shouldsnapoutofit!*

Yay for film!

Yup, that was her. The cute little redheaded girl. Everybody gave her a standing ovation, and she just stood there stunned and thrilled. It was great.

Speaking of airborne serpents...

Did you get a call from a certain Mr. Jackson?

Not the last time I checked, but then again, I've been a little lax in checking my messages lately and work's still got my cell phone. (*grumbly*)

YAY BIANCA. Though I really wanted the little piano playing 8 year old to win. She was ADORABLE. I only saw her once though.

Also...I need a clip of the Leonid on Jimmy Kimmel! Sounds HIlarious

I would think that out of 7,400+ tracks you might be able to find something you like, I made a locked entry here for all my friends looking for music. Let me know if there's anything you'd like uploaded.

*ducks* I was actually disappointed Bianca won (I was rooting for Celtic Spring, m'self, as well as Realis even though I knew they wouldn't win). She's got a great base tone, but needs a LOT of training. She'll lose her voice by 16 if she's not careful.

But Leonid? Hee!
